EDD Unemployment Update: Is California Requiring Work Search Now?

As of today the California EDD still says the work search requirement is waived. If you get to a page where it asks you to list the place (or 3 places) where you looked for work you should be able to hit skip and still get paid with no problems. No that cases of the illness are coming down, it’s hard to say if California will soon be asking us to list where we looked for work again soon but as of today, Sunday 4/11/21 the EDD still says the work search requirement is waived on their website.

If you’ve had trouble calling the EDD and can’t get through or have a pending unemployment claim, you California Assemblyman might be able to help fix your claim.
