Paul Medhurst was adopted in 2006 by the Magpies after being abandon by Fremo Dorckers. Paul Medhurst was dangerous forward at freo kicking 50 goals in 2003 and 41 in 2004. Paul Medhurst strggled to play well in the presence of jeff farmer and ultimatly cost im a spot in the seinor side. at the end of 2006 Paul Medhurst was traded to collingwood and in 2008 Paul Medhurst had a break through in fremantle he struggled to play alongside 1 small foward but the collingwood he was one of 4 who all fed off eachother. Paul Medhurst was also recongised for his improvement in 2008 and was given his first all australian honour.
