Feng Hao was one of nine artists to perform as part of “Voluntary Garden Online Concert: Sonic Cure,” a virtual concert streamed on February 29, 2020 through the Kaishou app. The performance marks the latest stage of artist Colin Siyuan Chinnery’s multimedia art project “Voluntary Garden,” which began with a series of musical performances in the Suzhou-style garden of Beijing’s Fusion Art Center in late 2019. The accompanying exhibition opened at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art on December 12, 2019, before regrettably closing to the public in January 2020 due to unforeseeable circumstances regarding the spread of COVID-19. To accompany the exhibition, a series of performances were organized at UCCA; due to special considerations for the health and safety of the audience and artists, this final concert was moved online.
