Azuero Adventures began as a small seed planted into the mind of a person feeling ripe to grow something.

Alessa Stabile was working a stable job she had adored for years in Panama City, but over a couple glasses of red wine she pondered adventure tours and sustainable tourism. Cambutal came to mind, a wild area overflowing with natural beauty but lacking anyone to give directions.

Cambutal had nothing to build on- no trails, no guides, no precedent. Cerro Hoya National Park was a topic of conversation from the beginning- how many national parks have remained inaccessible and untouched by the human spirit of intervention?

Bryan Goldner arrived a few years later fresh with optimism and a mentality not focused on problems but rather unexplored topography maps. Bryan doesn’t it waste his time talking about what he can’t do.

Bryan and Alessa’s partnership grew quickly and Azuero Adventures modestly began with short hikes in 2021. They now run tours 6 days a week, guiding hikes, horseback rides, camping trips, and multi-day treks into the national park. Myself and seven other Cambutal residents were invited to test run a new trip to the summit of Cerro Pirri in the park.

Our three day trip was incredible.
