Elder Scrolls Online: Where To Recruit Each Companion

The companion NPCs within Elder Scrolls Online play a significant role in your adventure, and here's a comprehensive guide on how and where to unlock them.

Engaging in battle alongside your Companion enhances their performance while aligning with their preferences and nurtures a stronger connection. As you gain their confidence and forge deeper camaraderie, your Companion might confide in you with personal quests. Furthermore, you have the option to equip them with specialized gear and personalize various aspects, such as abilities, mounts, costumes, and attire, to tailor them to your liking.

If you have access to the Blackwood, High Isle, or Necrom chapters, you can obtain Companions within each chapter by completing their respective quests.

You can have either a Companion or an assistant active simultaneously, and you can activate Companion collectibles conveniently from the Collections menu or Quick Slotted for easy access.

To activate a Companion:

1. Access your Collections menu.
2. Choose Allies.
3. Select Companions.
4. Activate or choose the Companion you want to use, if both are unlocked.

Grouping: In Group Dungeons, Companions will replace missing members. For instance, if you enter a dungeon with a total of 3 people, the Group Leader's Companion will remain, while the others will be desummoned.
Where to unlock the respective companions:

Ember:
Ember can be located close to the Tor Draioch point of interest, situated to the north of Gonfalon Bay, which serves as the capital of the High Isle zone. To add her as a companion, you need to successfully finish her quest titled "Tower of Trouble."

Isobel:
Isobel can be located near the Castle Navire point of interest, which is situated to the west of Gonfalon Bay, the capital of the High Isle zone. To recruit her as a companion, you need to successfully complete her quest titled "Tournament of the Heart."

Bastian:
You can find Bastian in the Deepscorn Hollow objective along the southwest coast of Blackwood. In order to unlock him as a companion complete his Quest “Competition and Contracts“.

Mirri:
Mirri is found in the Doomvault Vulpinaz objective in northern Blackwood. In order to unlock her as a companion complete her Quest “Shattered and Scattered“.

Azandar:
You can find Azandar right outside the Cipher’s Midden Village in the Apocrypha zone. In order to unlock him as a companion complete his Quest “The Fateweaver Key“.

Sharp:
You can find Sharp right outside the Necrom Capital of the Telvanni Peninsula zone. In order to unlock him as a companion complete his Quest “The Double Edge“.
