Jago 341| Flying to Tel Aviv: My First Day in Israel

The clear sky allowed me to enjoy the aerial view of the Arabian Peninsula, it's red desert, and the holy land with its famous Dead Sea and River Jordan. The lowest city on earth, Jericho, is vividly visible from the plane.

I landed at Ben Gurion airport, passed the immigration and was picked up by a member of the archaeological team that I joined to excavate Tel Burna. In this video, you can see my accommodation, HaLamed-Heh, which is located by the Valley of Elah, the battlefield between the Israelites and the Philistines 3,000 years ago, where David slew Goliath.
