Today on an all-new “Stop-Motion Rarities”, we are going out of this world with “Alien Hunter” (1984) by Kazutsugu Kosugi. It is a student film he made shot in 8 millimeter film. Oh yes, 8 mm. The kind of film format for home movies back in the pre-video days. (Ask your grandparents). He would later go on to make stop-motion animation in such films as “The Haunted School 2” (1996) and “The Haunted School 3” (1997), “Zeriam” (1991), “Zeriam 2” (1992), “Hiruko the Goblin” (1991), “Mechanical Violator Hakaider” (1995), “Moon Over Tao” Makaraga” (1997), and “Specter” (2005).
