This handmade soap loaf mold is the perfect shape and size to use with a single-bar soap cutter. I will show you the best way to construct it and the secret to easily unmolding the soap. Watch me use it to make two separate batches of soap with two different ways to line the mold.

How to calculate the amount of soap your mold will hold:

1) Find out how many cubic inches your mold is by multiplying the length x width x how high your soap will be in the mold.

2) Multiply your cubic inches by .554113 and that will give you the fluid ounces to adjust your recipe to. (Just make sure to double check it for the correct amount of lye before you start making soap!)

Example:
My mold is 9.5” x 9.5” and I want my soap to be 2” tall. (9.5 x 9.5 x 2 = 180.05 square inches)(Take 180.05 x .554113 = 100.02 fluid ounces) The total volume of your recipe would be 100.02 fluid ounces.
