In the province of Caceras, near the Town of Caceras and Plasencia is Monfrague National Park. It is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since about 2007.
Highlights include Castillo de Monfrague, the many well marked hiking trails, Black Stork, Owls, Black Vultures ,Golden Eagles, Spanish Imperial Eagles, Mongoose, Wild Cats, Foxes, Deer
