LYRICS: The Call to Adventure

From afar I hear rumbling thunder
From the mountaintops it cleaves through the sky
a storm to wake them from their slumber
so deep
and whose winds we nonetheless defy

Oh take heart my fellow creatures
though you may be small you are great in heart
and when the fires of Vonindod's seekers
come
shall no quarrel break our bond apart

So take heed all you towering giants
we shall find the king and his forlorn art
and if we have to battle skyward tyrants
these four friends shall stoutly do their part

And a hand reaches out to the sword hilt
in a longing search for times gone-by
and seeking the flower that they hope will not wilt
that once taught the bird how it could fly

MARCH OF THE FIRE GIANTS

Come, ye lords of old,
it has broken, the storm king's fold,
with fire and with black steel
the world will be brought to heel!

March with iron steps,
down into their lands,
for with a beating drum,
the great war will come!

March with iron steps,
down into their lands,
find what once was ours,
reforge the ancient bars!

THE CALL TO ADVENTURE II: CHORUS OF STORM KING'S THUNDER

Come now, you olden lords,
and try to take your hoards!
if you heed not our words,
you will surely feel our swords !

As long as we are free,
the small folks' heroes we shall be,
and we shall never bend the knee,
to tyrants of land and sky or sea!

For we may be small,
and mortal after all,
but the free world shall not fall,
when the faithful heed our call!

From afar I hear rumbling thunder,
From the mountaintops it cleaves through the sky,
though I know not where the right way lies,
to the storm king's thunder we will rise!

From afar I hear rumbling thunder,
From the mountaintops it cleaves through the sky,
and we shall find the lost ere everything dies,
to the storm king's thunder we will rise!
