Sustained Ketone Levels vs Spike and Fall using Exogenous Ketones and Ketone Esters

Описание к видео Sustained Ketone Levels vs Spike and Fall using Exogenous Ketones and Ketone Esters

Some people think that because the ketone levels went up fast and then start falling after 1 hour, that the effectiveness is falling at the same rate. What some don't understand is that it is more about the ketones leaving your blood and going to where they need to go, versus keeping ketones higher. This may mean that you can use LESS exogenous ketones. You may not need to stress about sustaining 1 or 2mm, but hit that number once or twice a day, that may work sufficiently.

Oftentimes someone may have a target of sustaining 1.5mm of ketones in your blood. That may make sense with a ketogenic diet because you will constantly have a fresh supply of ketones in and our of your blood. But with exogenous ketones, you will get a spike and drop in ketone levels. But just because the ketones are out of the blood doesn't mean they have stopped working.
This was show in a human clinical trial where they look at the brain and how it used ketones. The ketones were still high in the brain even after they showed up lower in the blood.
