The Western Isles is an experimental Western Marches style Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition campaign set in the mortally unforgiving wilderness archipelago of the Western Isles. It follows the stories of the 13 patrons of the Last Chance Inn, settlers from the Empire far to the east.

The game is played in real-time; each day that passes ingame signifies a day past in real life. If a group goes out on a Mission for seven days, it will be seven days before they return to the taproom of the Last Chance Inn. If they return at all.
