In this video I compare the Canon 5D classic to the last of the 5D series the mk IV. We are comparing a 2009 12 M sensor to a 2018 30M sensor to see if there is any justification in the £1700 price difference if you are shooting still images only.
Both cameras were set up identically and the same lens used for each shot.
To my eyes there is a very slight loss of resolution with 5D classic and the colour balance is cooler compared to the 5D mk IV when viewed on a 27in iMac screen.
