Welcome to Edible Creations! Today's recipe is Tandoori Salmon.

Tandoori salmon is a flavorful Indian-inspired dish where salmon pieces are marinated in yogurt, spices, and herbs, then roasted or broiled until tender and slightly charred. It combines the richness of salmon with the smoky, spicy essence of traditional tandoori cooking, making it both healthy and delicious.

🌶️Tandoori Salmon Recipe
Ingredients
Salmon fillets – 500 g (cut into bite-size cubes or strips)
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp (adjust to taste)
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) – 2 tsp (crushed)
Garam masala – 2 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Thick yogurt (Greek yogurt works well) – 1 heaping tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Oil or melted butter – 1–2 tsp (for brushing before baking)

Instructions
Prep the salmon
Cut salmon into bite-size pieces. Pat dry with a paper towel so the marinade sticks well.

Make the marinade
In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and all the spices (chilli, turmeric, cumin, coriander, kasuri methi, garam masala, and salt).
Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Marinate the salmon
Coat the salmon pieces evenly with the marinade.
Cover and let it rest for at least 10–15 minutes (for a quick version) or up to 2 hours in the fridge for deeper flavor.

Cook the salmon
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and lightly grease.
Place marinated salmon pieces in a single layer.
Brush or drizzle with a little oil/melted butter.
Broil/bake for 12–15 minutes, until salmon is cooked through and slightly charred at the edges.
(Optional: For a smoky effect, place the tray under the broiler for 1–2 minutes at the end.)

Serve
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Pair with mint chutney, onion rings, and naan or rice.

✨ Tips for best results:
Using thick yogurt helps the marinade stick without making it watery.
Don’t overcook salmon – it should stay moist inside with a slight char outside.
