Der Moy Park Belfast City Marathon ist einer der führenden Marathons in Großbritannien und Irland und ein AIMS-zertifiziertes Rennen. Darüber hinaus ist es der erste und einzige Marathon in Nordirland, der Teil der World Athletics Label Road Race Series ist. Das Rennen beginnt in Stormont und endet im Ormeau Park und führt durch alle vier Stadtteile: Nord, Süd, Ost und West. Die Veranstaltung in Belfast ist bekannt für die unglaubliche Unterstützung der Einheimischen und die Menschenmassen, die Sie während Ihrer 26,2 Meilen langen Strecke anfeuern. Es gibt Veranstaltungen für jedes Fitnessniveau, darunter einen Marathonlauf, ein Rollstuhlrennen, eine Teamstaffel und einen 8-Meilen-Gehen, die jährlich über 15.000 Teilnehmer anziehen. Im Jahr 2023 wurde der Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon Teil der renommierten World Athletics Label Road Race Series.

Belfast ist die Hauptstadt von Nordirland. Hier wurde das berühmte Schiff RMS Titanic gebaut, das 1912 mit einem Eisberg zusammenstieß und sank. Die Geschichte wird im Titanic Quarter in der renovierten Werft erzählt. Wo einst dieser Dampfer gebaut wurde, finden heute Open-Air-Konzerte statt.
Aus diesem Grund habe ich meine Interesse gezeigt, einmal in Nordirland den Marathon mitzumachen. Was am Ende da geschehen ist, habe ich nichts bereut und bleibt in meine guter langer Erinnerung.

The Moy Park Belfast City Marathon is one of the leading marathons in Great Britain and Ireland and an AIMS-certified race. It is also the first and only marathon in Northern Ireland to be part of the World Athletics Label Road Race Series. The race starts at Stormont and finishes at Ormeau Park and runs through all four neighbourhoods: North, South, East and West. The Belfast event is known for the incredible support of the locals and the crowds that cheer you on throughout your 26.2 mile route. There are events for every fitness level, including a marathon run, a wheelchair race, a team relay and an 8-mile walk, attracting over 15,000 participants each year. In 2023, the Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon became part of the prestigious World Athletics Label Road Race Series.
The United Kingdom is a union of four countries: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. This is where the famous ship RMS Titanic was built, which collided with an iceberg and sank in 1912. The story is told in the Titanic Quarter in the renovated shipyard. Open-air concerts are now held where this steamer was once built.
For this reason, I showed my interest in taking part in the marathon in Northern Ireland. I have no regrets about what happened in the end and I will always remember it fondly.
