First, we try to remove the gum with a plastic scraper.

If the gum can't be removed with a plastic scraper alone, then we use Rid-A-Gum remover with the Rid-A-Gum wire brush.

If it's difficult to remove the gum with Rid-A-Gum then we use steam the Rid-A-Gum brush, Rid-A-Gum and a white cloth.

In the video we used a Black & Decker SteamWorks Steamer. Model: BD 1200. We also use the Steamer with Chemspec Red X It for removing stains caused by synthetic dyes found in flavoured drinks, fruit juice, sports drinks, and more.

We also have a Polti Vaporetto 2400 steam cleaner to remove chewing gum. We don't need to use Rid-A-Gum when we use the Polti Vaporetto steam cleaner.

How to remove chewing gum from carpets:
With the flip top cap open, apply a few drops of Rid-A-Gum to the chewing gum to be removed.
Allow 30 seconds of dwell time for good absorption into chewing gum wad.
With the Rid-A-Gum wire brush, brush against the carpet grain and then with the carpet grain until chewing gum is fully dissolved.
Clean effected area with a mild cleaning solution.
