Marine Dr continues beyond Nelson Ave, down to Whytecliff Park. You can also approach the ferry via the shared use path which leads to Raleigh St, at 43:04.

It's slightly faster to turn right at Bruce St, rather than going all the way to Bay St.

This video features one (short) block of protected bike lane right near the end - which has been closed to give pedestrians more space - and 14 seconds of painted bike lane right at the start. Plus the painted lanes from 26th St to 31st St, which are relatively new.

This is probably the best way to get to Horseshoe Bay during daylight. One alternative is the shoulder of Hwy 1, which is not very good. The other alternative is the 31st/Westmount/Westridge/Westport/etc. route (not sure whether it has a name?), but this has a lot more hills/elevation, and has similar traffic levels at many points. And it only goes most of the way, so you'll have to rejoin Marine Dr at the end of Westport Rd anyway.

Why are there 4 Keith Rds in West Vancouver?
