I read on a couple sites that the best way to get rid of a stink tree, tree of heaven, whatever, is to get some kind of chemical and apply it to the trunk in the fall, then cut it down next summer. I didn't do that. Now it seems like everywhere the roots are in the ground is spawning a bunch of little stink tree saplings. They grow up like this every week. This was right before I went through and dug them out about a foot or so deep, they're still coming right back up.
