Описание к видео The Horsham to Guildford Branch - Closed 1965

The Horsham to Guildford Branch line. Showing the remains of the route as it is today. The vast majority of the former railway is part of the Downs Link footpath. Only at the very northern part of the old line near Peasmarsh Junction is there no public access. The 381yard tunnel south of Baynards Tunnel has to be by passed as it was sealed, with the northern portal and approach cutting being in filled. South of Baystone Bridge, there is a public right of way to the remains of the branch line platforms at Christ's Hospital Station, but at present there's no access to the station. Opened by the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway the line was listed for closure in the Beeching report with the last passenger train running on 12th June 1965.
