Therefore, we’re both able to use it and monetize it. He just so happened to release his first. That’s just how the industry works when you purchase the same lease as other artists. Otherwise, you can always buy the exclusive lease and own the full rights and have the song to yourself.. but I didn’t know better when I first started.
