00:13: Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.
The washing machine filter should be cleaned every six weeks.

00:23: Prepare a shallow dish and a towel to collect water

00:27 Open the filter cover on the front of the washing machine
Dependng on you model use a coin or firmly push the drain filter cover to release

00:36 Empty the water
Pull out the emergency drain hose and remove its cap. Water should begin to flow. Empty it until the water stops flowing.

00:52 Rotate drain filter
Rotate the drain filter counter-clockwise, and remove it from the housing. Clean out any debris that may have gathered, both in the filter and the housing. Rinse the filter and place it back into the housing.

01:17: 5C check code
If your machine displays a 5C check code the water hasn’t drained correctly. Check the drain pump filter if cleaning is required.

01:29 Check hoses
Fully switch off the washing machine to check the hoses. Check the drain hose at the back is routed and installed correctly, check the hoses for blockages or kinks, and be sure the spigot is clear if you use one.
