L'Assemblée - Fife & Drum, Hautbois

This is an arrangement I made of the French fife and drum command "L'Assemblée from the French drummer's manual of 1754, which was used to signal the troops to assemble before a march.

The image shows the battle of Fontenoy of the War of Austrian Succession, 1745, with the British and French troops saluting each other before firing, as painted by Édouard Detaille.
