Bird Bath: An invitation to rest in the magic of local bird song [edit]

A short documentary of the making of Bird Bath for Brighton Festival 2024.

Bird Bath transforms beautiful buildings into restorative spaces by inviting you to pause, rest and ‘bathe’ in the sound of local birdsong.

Conceived and created by meditator and broadcaster Alistair Appleton and musician and researcher, Alice Eldridge, Bird bath brings local artists, communities, musicians and schools together for a multispecies celebration of place.

This edition was a Sussex Digital Humanities Lab, Experimental Ecologies project, working in partnership with the Living Coast UNESCO Biosphere, produced by Sound UK and funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council Impact Acceleration Account at the University of Sussex, UK.
