Maya: VDB Clouds in the Bifröst Graph Editor

Описание к видео Maya: VDB Clouds in the Bifröst Graph Editor

A while ago I did a tutorial about how to create a blast of fire using an advanced technique called openVDB. You find the tutorial here:    • Maya: A Static and Impressive VDB Exp...

The Bifröst Graph editor, sometimes connotated as Bifröst 2.0, offers quite a few "VDB"-nodes. I was amazed about the simple and straight forward useage of the VDB volume node. That's what this tutorial is about.

You can follow the tutorial with any openVDB file. I'm using clouds by Brandon Young, which I found here, free to download, over 1 GB in size, 200 VDB files:

The turntable animation you see at the very end of this video shows the sequence of 100 cloud files. Pls keep in mind: That's no animation where a single cloud develops over time, but merely 100 different coulds, one after the other.

The music: "Aggregat", by me, Maximilian Schönherr, licensed via GEMA.
