The first test of our fluttering wings project, with robotics and coding by Jordan Price! There is still a bit of refining to do, and the back needs prettying up which is why it's not shown here just yet. But they're alive, they're alive!!! These are actually lightweight enough to be tucked into the back of this corset, worn without any straps! We left the sound on so you can hear, the sound of the servos is so quiet you can barely even hear them over the usual ambient wind and nearby road noise.

We originally intended to create a tutorial to sell, however, we didn't get enough financial support to create a full tutorial and we were also wary of selling something with moving parts.
Due to recent events we've decided to simply release the material Jordan had put together already, and if you're experienced in building electronic parts it may very well be all the instruction you need to create your own flapping mechanism. I added more photos, a few more tips and put it all together into something that makes sense.
It's not complete enough for beginners though so we didn't want to call it a tutorial.

Jordan Price did all the coding and built the mechanism, and of course I did the wing panels design and fabrication as well as the cover for the motor.
