Transport :
Train tickets are considerably cheap (INR 300 - 700) but usually get booked out very soon.
There are buses from Mumbai and Pune which might cost INR 500 to 1000
The bus journey being overnight is much convenient.

5. If you stay at arambol, You might get to sit with the hippies on the beach for a jam

DON'Ts
1. Drink and drive (Traffic rules have been made strict)
2. Avoid Baga and Calangute unless you like being in-crowd and followed by vendors
3. Fontainhas is a residential and heritage place, see to it that you are not causing any disturbance to the locals.
4. Dump your waste on the beach. Use bins, please
