Here are 3 unique ways to trellis peas and beans! Trellising is a technique used in gardening. It’s a framework to support climbing plants. This technique allows for better air circulation around the plants and increased light exposure which is great for the plant’s growth.

We are in one of our fellow Dirt Magician’s Yards, and she has so many cool trellises we had to show you! The first one is a wrought iron mannequin, and the bamboo at the bottom helps it climb to the statue. Hopefully, it will look like a green dress. Our second one is easy with just bamboo and string, and the last is a ladder. Peas and Beans like to be sloped while they trellis and work with gravity. Make sure your trellis has very small pieces (like rope or wire) so that the tiny tendrils can grab onto your trellis.
