2 Munros, A summit camp and the Milky Way - A Chraileag and Mullach Fraoch-choire September 2024

An overnight outing on two munros, A Chraileag and Mullach Fraoch-choire, with a summit camp on Stob Coire na Craileag at 1008m. Weather was excellent with clear skies and little wind. The Milky Way was visible along with most of the stars. I also witnessed a strange occurrence around 2200 when the sky toward Glen Affric lit up accompanied by a series of cracking and explosive noises which lasted for about 15 mins. The area is very remote and I was not sure what caused this event, possibly a military exercise. One of the images included was taken looking directly East toward the source.
