Elvis Presley - Suspicious MInds - 20 August 1970, Midnight Show - Las Vegas

There is little doubt that this songs has become both Elvis’ signature tune and one of the most famous songs in the world. However, at the time that Elvis performed this rendition it had barely been released for a year and only eighteen months since it was actually recorded.
This shows just how quickly the song had evolved as Elvis had tweaked both the arrangement and tempo for the stage and as such this and the master are almost two separate songs!
Opening night apart where it was substituted for Patch It Up, the Suspicious Minds was performed at every show as the penultimate song. The song receives the standard August 1970 approach with some audience interaction evident in parts.

As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
