U19s ASA Karditsa suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat by Larisa FC in round 8 of the Youth Superleague 2 competition. Playing in very warm conditions on the bumpy surface of Makrihori soccer field, the game was not a great spectacle for the neutral observer. What it lacked in quality, it made up for spirit with both teams fighting for every ball. Such was the enthusiasm of the players of both teams that one Larisa player, Koukouravas, received a straight red in the 42′ minute for a horrible tackle on a Karditsa defender. Yellow cards followed throughout the match to players of both teams for physical play.
Larisa took the lead in the 17th minute after a sustained attack and a good cross to Nitsos who tapped it in from a suspected offside position! The score turned 2-0 in the 67th minute after another well worked move by the visiting team and a lucky bounce of the ball which the Larisa forward Polizos did not allow to go to waste.
Karditsa equalised in the 75th minute through Katsaros from a great assist by Tsetsas and in the 85th minute the same player almost scored an equaliser but could not control the ball! Larisa obviously dominated play but had to work very hard for the 3 points. Karditsa had many unavailable players and a very thin bench and despite this, did not give up and at no stage resembled the team beaten 7-0 at Larisa earlier in the season.

Η Κ-19 της ΑΣΑ Καρδίτσας γνώρισε την ήττα με μόλις 2-1 από τη Λάρισα στην 8η αγωνιστική της Superleague 2 Νέων. Παίζοντας σε πολύ ζεστές συνθήκες στην ανώμαλη επιφάνεια του γηπέδου Μακρυχωρίου, το παιχνίδι δεν αποτέλεσε σπουδαίο θέαμα για τον ουδέτερο παρατηρητή. Αυτό που έλειπε σε ποιότητα, περίσσευε σε πείσμα με τις δύο ομάδες να παλεύουν για κάθε μπαλιά. Ήταν τέτοιος ο ενθουσιασμός των παικτών και των δύο ομάδων που ένας παίκτης της Λάρισας, o Κουκουράβας, δέχθηκε απευθείας κόκκινη στο 42′ για ένα βίαιο μαρκάρισμα σε αμυντικό της Καρδίτσας. Ακολούθησαν κίτρινες κάρτες καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του αγώνα σε παίκτες και των δύο ομάδων για σκλυρό παιχνίδι.
Η Λάρισα πήρε το προβάδισμα στο 17ο λεπτό μετά από μια παρατεταμένη επίθεση και μια καλή σέντρα στον Νίτσο που την αξιοποίησε από ύποπτη θέση οφσάιντ! Το σκορ έγινε 2-0 στο 67ο λεπτό μετά από άλλη μια καλοδουλεμένη κίνηση των φιλοξενουμένων και μια τυχερή αναπήδηση της μπάλας που ο κυνηγός Πολύζος της Λάρισας δεν άφησε να πάει χαμένη.
Η Καρδίτσα ισοφάρισε στο 75ο λεπτό με τον Κατσαρό από υπέροχη ασίστ του Τσέτσα και στο 85′ ο ίδιος παίκτης παραλίγο να ισοφαρίσει αλλά δεν μπόρεσε να ελέγξει την μπάλα! Η Λάρισα φυσικά κυριάρχησε στο παιχνίδι αλλά έπρεπε να δουλέψει πολύ σκληρά για τους 3 βαθμούς. Η Καρδίτσα είχε πολλούς μη διαθέσιμους παίκτες και έναν πολύ λεπτό πάγκο και παρόλα αυτά, δεν το έβαλε κάτω και σε κανένα στάδιο δεν έμοιαζε με την ομάδα που ηττήθηκε με 7-0 στη Λάρισα νωρίτερα στη σεζόν.
