The kaleidoscopic Kalinga Utsav 2022 was celebrated at the university campus on 19th November 2022. Guests were welcomed with the beats of traditional Dhols at the entrance of the university. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest Sh. Ram Kumar Yadav, MLA Chandrapur constituency in presence of the dignitaries of the University Chairman- Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Chancellor- Dr. Sandeep Arora, Pro-Chancellor- Dr Sajjan Singh, Trustees –Dr. Sharmila and Dr. Sima Arora, Vice-Chancellor- Dr. R. Shridhar, Registrar- Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Head of the Departments, faculties, students and parents. Thereafter, Saraswati Vandana was rendered to gain the favor of the Goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and art. The welcome speech was given by Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Chairman of Kalinga University followed by felicitation of guests.
The dignitaries enlightened the students with their valuable thoughts, motivated them to reach high and extended best wishes for their future endeavors. The Hon’ble guests extended their good wish for the success of KALINGA UTSAV-2022 and praised the students for their enthusiasm.
At the beginning of the show Ayush and Team presented Rock Band performance followed by Welcome Dance on Ganesha Vandana by student Surabhi Rathi of BBA 5th semester of the university. Duet song was presented by Muskan and Sania. The ebullient dancers of the University presented various dances and solo songs.
A theme song was presented by Lina Saha, Shiv Tandav Nritya was presented by Shristi Verma who is a Research Scholar at Kalinga University and titled Miss India Icon. The other dance forms were Hip-Hop dance, Retro group dance, followed by a Bollywood group dance, Salsa dance and Arabic Night. Chhattisgarhi group dance, Kalbeliya group dance, Garba group dance, Ghoomar group dance, Bhangra group dance, Lawani group dance were presented to depict the rich, radiant and vibrant culture of India.
Performances by the International students were one of the major attraction. Students presented Solo song in Nepali language, Nigerian folk dance, Nepali folk dance. Performances on various dance forms, songs and dramatics mesmerized the audience.
‘Chhora Haryane Ka’ fame Satvinder Satti gave mesmerizing performance to the students of Kalinga University. Fashion shows gave an additional flavor to the cultural fiesta. First round of fashion show named Emotions was presented by the students of the fashion designing department. Second round was Utpatang 2.0 and Third round was the Golden Glory by the International students of Kalinga University and was the center of attraction.
The bedecked premises were brimming with various activities and enthusiastic participation of students that enthralled the audience. The cultural evening came to an end by presentation of mementos to the guests followed by vote of thanks.

Hon’ble dignitaries Vice Chancellor Dr. R. Shridhar, Director General Dr Byju John, Registrar Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Dean of Students Welfare Dr. Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Academics Affairs Mr. Rahul Mishra were present for the event. Deans’ of various faculties and Heads of the departments were present during the function. Masters of the ceremony were Mr. Kapil Kelkar, HoD Department of Fashion Designing and Ms. Shreya Dwivedi, Asst Prof, Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. Student anchors were Shadab Hashemi Xian, Nayna Chakhiyar, Kritika Singhania, Chirag Borkar and Huneshwari Sinha.
