FIX STOP START WITHOUT CHANGING BATTERY (SOLVED)

A few tips to get your stop start function to start working again or to help find out if your battery needs to be changed or not.

Criteria:

Make sure your seat belt is on for it to activate.

Turn off all things the use power EG: A/C, heated seats and climate control.

Take your car for a long drive (45mins+) preferably at high speeds (40MPH+) or on motorway.

For deisel cars: Long drives will help to let your car get up to temperature so you can regenerate your DPF. If your DPF is full then your car will not activate the stop start function.

If stop start function still doesn't work after trying these steps the you most likely need a new stop start battery as the capacity is probably too low to be able to activate the function.
