The Texas National Guard's Tactical Border Force members conducted joint security training exercises with the Texas Department of Public Safety and U.S. Border Patrol on Tuesday (January 28) afternoon along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The operation deployed 400 tactical border force troops at Anzalduas Park in Mission, Texas, showcasing coordinated security measures between state and federal agencies. Chinook helicopters and other aircraft were prominently featured in the exercises.

The training demonstration highlighted the increased military presence in the region following President Donald Trump came to power.

Trump, on his first day in office, declared undocumented immigration a national emergency, tasking the U.S. military with aiding border security, issuing a broad ban on asylum, and taking steps to restrict citizenship for children born on American soil.
