They may find it hard to believe their luck in encountering someone like you. You possess qualities that they find irresistible, and you seem to check all the boxes on their list of ideal traits.

One of the key aspects that attract a Narcissist is your capacity for love. They notice that you are capable of providing a sustainable and potent Supply, something they crave. They are drawn to your appearance, your personality, and even the way you communicate. Your ability to care for others stands out to them.

In the early stages of your relationship, you may have shown a remarkable level of care and understanding. Perhaps they hinted at some painful experiences from their past, and you were there to help them heal those wounds. This nurturing side of you is what truly captured their interest. They see you as someone who has the ability to fix things, and this is a major reason why they chose you. When they encounter someone who is broken, you know exactly what to say to make them feel better and to help them heal.

However, this initial infatuation can quickly spiral into an overwhelming obsession. The Narcissist feels a strong need to make their feelings known and to establish the relationship as official as soon as possible. This is often why many people find themselves in situationships so quickly. The declaration of love can happen almost immediately. Before you realize it, you might find yourself saying, "I love you," and they respond in kind. This rapid exchange of affectionate words serves to seal the deal in their minds.

Once the words "I love you" are spoken, the Narcissist may use them as a tool of deception. For them, this declaration is not just an expression of genuine emotion; they believe it is a commitment that binds you to them. They understand that when you say "I love you," you mean it sincerely. However, for them, their motivations are different. They are primarily in it for their own gain.
