Severn Valley Railway - Spring Steam Gala 2019

Action from day one of gala featuring a majority GWR feel with former branchline stars on display. Just two of visiting engines feature in this video due to the brief failure of the LNWR Coal Tank 1054, the other non inclusion was Pannier Tank 6430 which I was unable to catch due to clashing with other important workings on the timetable. The two main stars of the gala were GWR Large Prairie 4144, courtesy of the Great Western Preservation Society and GWR heavy goods tank engine 5619 courtesy of Telford Horeshay Steam Trust. The homefleet were also in action and we also capture the recently overhauled Standard 4 in the form of 75069.

A decent day's action on the Severn Valley but a big loss not having the coal tank available. Other good news is that GWR 4144 is due to stay at the SVR for the coming months. I hope you enjoy the video.
