Use LiveData in Kotlin to populate the model of an AutoCompleteTextView on an Android UI. In this video, we connect an existing AutoCompleteTextView on a layout to an existing ViewModel that contains a MutableLiveData object. We also adjust the URL to avoid a clear text issue, and we set the build to Java 8 to avoid java.lang.BootstrapMethodError: Exception from call site #4 bootstrap method. Next, we walk through the example in the emulator. Finally, we commit our changes, push them to GitHub, perform a pull request, and merge our Consume JSON feature branch back with Master.
