Rhine Gorge Switzerland with campfire

The Rhine Gorge, also known as "Swiss Grand Canyon“ ore Ruinaulta, wich is located in the north-east of Switzerland is our destination today.

Before we reach our destination, there are a few serpentines uphill. It's fun to drive the Swiss mountain roads, the road conditions are mostly very good, very curvy and very steep.

We pass through the quiet little mountain village of Versam with its charming old church standing on the edge of the gorge.

Once at the upper part of the Rhine Gorge, we are rewarded with a breathtaking view.

Incredibly fascinating, the power that nature has to give, the crystal clear water, the rocks and the sun, simply breathtaking.

Our appetite increases with these wintry temperatures.
Now it's time to make a fire and roast our chicken.
For us, this is the tastiest way to prepare roasted chicken. And outside in winter and grilled over the fire, it tastes even better.

We enjoy our chicken with a view of the water and let the mystical and incredibly energetic atmosphere of the Rhine Gorge work its magic on us.

On our way home we pass another narrow, adventurous mountain road with a fantastic view of the mountains and the Rhine Gorge.
