GOLDBUG HOT SPRINGS | HIKING INTO IDAHO'S MOST WELL KNOWN SOAKING POOLS | SALMON, IDAHO

It's Thanksgiving Day! Thursday November 26th, 2020 was one for the books. Tessa and I took a road trip to the southern part of Idaho State just south of Salmon, Idaho to Goldbug Hot Springs. We arrived the night before to a remote pullout wedged between the highway and the Salmon River. The night was cold.. and it got down to around 15 degrees that night. We awoke to a frosted over car, and we could see our breath rising in front of us every time we exhaled! We planned on getting up to the springs around sunrise, but per usual that didn't happen and the morning was well ahead of us by the time we got to the trailhead. We spent a total of about five hours soaking in different pools before we went down - it was awesome! We spent the rest of the night and the next day in an Air BnB not too far away from the trailhead before we headed back home to North Idaho.
