Driving Wild Atlantic Way-Ireland [4K] Louisburgh to Westport - County Mayo

Louisburgh is a quaint town on the Bunowen River, on the southwest corner of Clew Bay. It was built in 1795 and enjoys some of the most panoramic views in Ireland; Clew Bay to the north, the Atlantic Ocean on its western front, Croagh Patrick to the east and the Sheefry Mountains to the south. A truly stunning place and an essential on any visit to Mayo.
On arrival to Westport the first thing you will experience is the mystical backdrop of Ireland’s most famous mountain, Croagh Patrick (‘the Reek’). The terrain of the National Coastal Trail consists of the designated walking/cycling Greenway and designated cycle /walkway lanes which will take you from Westport to Westport Quay and onwards to Murrisk and Croagh Patrick.
