Dr Emma Bimpson is a research fellow at Sheffield Hallam University in the Centre for Regional, Economic and Social Research (CRESR). Her work has largely focused on housing and disadvantage, women and family homelessness, and the intersections between housing, care and support services. Recent projects have explored family separation in relation to homelessness, and accommodation and support pathways for people experiencing domestic abuse and violence.

Emma’s research at CRESR has also included government-commissioned research and evaluations looking at supported housing, housing and health care interventions for people with complex social support needs, and enforcement of standards in the PRS. Emma’ academic research is motivated by over a decade’s practitioner experience in social and supported housing services.

Homeless Families Conference: Dare to Hope was hosted by the Shared Health Foundation in partnership with GMCA.
