DIY Alignment on my Lancer Evo

Описание к видео DIY Alignment on my Lancer Evo

This is a summary of the DIY four wheel alignment on my car. I would not recommend doing this on daily driven vehicles unless you confirm the toe measurements at a shop. Video is for entertainment only, I am not responsible for any damages.

The biggest challenge is likely finding perfectly level ground. My garage is sloped both front to back AND left to right. Take your time when using, or building wheel stands, making sure they are level by themselves, to each other, and to the ground. Although many camber gauges have ways to 'zero' readings on uneven slope, I prefer to have the car perfectly level while lifted. The same applies to setting up the jack stands. If the string box around the car is not perfectly square, the toe alignment will not be accurate.

It may also not be apparent in the video, but the adjustment process takes much longer than is shown. You must make your adjustments, lock them down, move/shake the car for the changes to take, retake measurements, and repeat until desired specs are reached. The car may also need to be lifted and lowered accordingly. Budget at least one whole day to complete all adjustments.
