The musical festival that I'm curating at the end of the month is starting to take over all of my time, and the Friday streams are turning into one of the few moments in my schedule I can focus on music, ironically. Am I getting closer to a burnout? It certainly feels so every other day, but how can I complain, when the stream of new musical influx to enjoy and to share has been so rich, of late? I don't know yet if this video will feature new arrivals, or if I'll dig from the shelves, but I already know I want to play some records that have recently revealed themselves in a deeper way to me, and that is a joyful perspective. I always add a poem to these little introductions, for you, but also for myself. Poetry probably is one of the earliest ways humans found to challenge authority, and themselves, which in many ways is what I am interested in with music. I read today of a major poetry event where voices from a part of the world were not welcome anymore, because of politics, and it deeply disturbed me. So here's a little poem from that place, because I hope we still care.


Enough for me to die on her earth
be buried in her
to melt and vanish into her soil
then sprout forth as a flower
played with by a child from my country.
Enough for me to remain
in my country’s embrace
to be in her close as a handful of dust
a sprig of grass
a flower.
