Mountain Bike Street Setup

Your mountain bike makes a great street bike, especially if you’re riding in a city with a lot of curbs and potholes. Mountain bike is much more stable and safe than a road bike on rough urban roads. To set up your mountain bike to ride on the street, you will need some smooth or slick road tires, and some fenders, and you’ll need to make sure the brakes are good enough for the street as well. Slick mountain bike tires make a big difference in how fast you can go on pavement. You will also want a comfortable seat, and you want to set up the handlebars so you can sit up and see what’s in front of you.
