EVER THOUGHT? What causes Blackheads? - By Kishor Singh #shorts

Do you know that blackheads are also a type of acne? But why don't we feel pain because of them? Before getting into the answer to these questions, let's understand how these blackheads occur.
As we know that our skin contains various pores. These pores are called comedo, which can either be open or closed.
These pores contain sebaceous glands, which help in the moisturization of the skin by secreting sebum.
Some hormonal changes in the body during puberty, pregnancy, etc., cause the over-secretion of sebum, which keeps on being deposited in those open pores.
On coming in contact with air, the sebum gets oxidized and turns black, and hence gets its name as a blackhead.
In a previous video, we saw that our immune system sends WBCs when it receives any sign of attack by propionibacterium acnes, which resulted in redness and inflammation. But nothing similar happens in the case of blackheads so we don't feel any sort of pain or inflammation.
