"Bad 2 da Bone" is an unreleased song recorded by American R&B group Blackstreet. It was recorded as one of the tracks for upcoming reunion album, Back 2 da Blackstreets (TBA). A mid-tempo blues-inspired song, "Bad 2 da Bone" consists of the melody and some of the lyrics that are heavily sampled from the 1982 hit single "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood and the Destroyers. It premiered on the PreSonus stage at NAMM 2013.
This remix was made by me... It contains the snippets from NAMM 2013 and a live recording of "Bad 2 da Bone." I'm so damn in love with this song since I read the article on the blog called AZ's Jook Joint, says Blackstreet a.k.a. BS2 (Teddy, Dave, Lenny, Tony [R.I.P.] and J-Stylz) performed it at Billboard Live TOKYO in 2013.
The remix also contains an interpolation of 2003 Blackstreet song "Ticket to Ride (Intro)," written by T. Riley, T. Lucas, R. Stanard, C. Scarborough and M. White; elements of the 1991 Michael Jackson song "Jam," written by Jackson, R. Moore, B. Swedien and T. Riley; and a sample from the 1999 Blackstreet song "Take Me There (Remix)," written by T. Riley, G. Baillergeau and V. Merritt.
I'm still waiting for Blackstreet to release full version of this song and their 5th studio album.
