In the state of Maharashtra, an encounter involving Naxalism, which remains prevalent in Gadchiroli, has reportedly resulted in the deaths of four known and wanted Naxals. This event transpired following a credible tip-off that members of the Telangana state committee had crossed the Pranahitha river from Telangana into Gadchiroli with the intent to carry out subversive activities during the MCC period of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
