The Huron Carol (Sarah MacDonald) Ely Cathedral Choir

Описание к видео The Huron Carol (Sarah MacDonald) Ely Cathedral Choir

The Huron Carol arranged by Sarah MacDonald is here sung by our Girl Choristers and Lay Clerks. Written by the 17th-century Jesuit missionary St Jean de Brébeuf the Huron Carol, the Christmas story is told using the imagery of the First Nations of Canada: the Christ-child is wrapped in rabbit skins; Chiefs bring gifts of Fox and Beaver-pelt (far more valuable in Canada than Gold, Frankincense, or Myrrh). With this recording, Ely Cathedral sends its best wishes to the country of the conductor's birth. #aChristmasMiracle
