DOUBLE DRAGON - 128K (AMSTRAD CPC - FULL GAME)

Zeus presents Double Dragon - 128k Disk version (un-emulated) for the Amstrad CPC6128, a true classic from the golden era of Amstrad gaming which should not be forgotten alongside the software house and programmers that were involved in making this game.

Well it has to be said that the standard Amstrad cassette version of this game was terrible but Aplin grabbed the 6128 machine and re-wrote the code to produce this 128k version and is easily the best version out of the 3 main 8-bit machines.
Snazzy music on the title page and characters that actually resemble those in the arcade make this far more enjoyable to play than the other crud 8-bit versions.
There are a few things I found a little negative about this version, one was the high amount of Yellow colour used in the game including on Abobo, it makes the game look too bright for my liking, also the movement animation when someone picks up a boulder,...the legs don't move, he just slides around as if he's hovering lol, also no Marion or ending,...where's me bird???
It does look quite blocky and rough with some slowdown but hey,...better than the tape version right!
All in all a nice conversion and a huge improvent over It's awful 64k cassette version.
There are some slight bugs in the music later on but not sure if that's down to the cracked copy.
I have used the infinite credit trainer so I could upload the entire game for your viewing pleasure.
