Indra Jatra is a vibrant festival celebrated in Kathmandu, Nepal, marking the end of the monsoon and honoring Lord Indra, the god of rain and heaven. The festival features colorful processions, masked dances, and the chariot procession of the Living Goddess, Kumari. It is a time of great cultural significance, blending Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and draws large crowds to witness the lively street celebrations, rituals, and traditional performances that symbolize gratitude for the harvest and prayers for future prosperity.
