This is a comment to Jackson Crawfod's recent video about the Moon. Jacksons comment:    • The Moon in Norse Myth  

I argue that taking a broader historical perspective reveals the importance of the moon in North European cultures. Pre-modern peasant society timed activities according to lunar phases, associating them with growth, fertility, and various agricultural practices. I emphasize that although Icelandic manuscripts may not explicitly highlight the moon's significance, it does not negate the existence of moon cults throughout North European history.
